Is the book always better than the film?

Sometimes we wonder this after we read the book. The movie doesn't seem so good, and we say the phrase "the book is always better than the movie".

You can’t compare film and literature. For starters, they are completely different means of expression - although related - and both have their specific strengths and weaknesses.

In my opinion, books will always be better than movies, while you are reading a book you can imagine the characters, and it requires effort, while with a film you only need to sit there and watch.

Books also have more things than the movie, the story is longer and has more plot. One thing I don’t like about movies is when they are based on a book, in this case the director completely changes the story.

In conclusion, movies can be good but fail to arouse in the viewer the same feelings than a book does in the reader.

  1. for me it's more entertaining to watch a movie, because I hate reading! You're lucky that you like reading

  2. I think it´s better to whatch a film becaue you can enjoy it with your friends or family and you can have more funny time with them!

Books are more boring because you have to read it alone..

  6. I agree with Elena, the movies are very entertaining and also you can share as said Unai but the book simply imagine what you are reading makes the story that much more exciting.
